We pride ourselves on attracting the best and brightest Jewish students in the Los Angeles area.  In order to become a member of the Valley Torah student body, a number of steps must be completed. We have more applicants than spots in our Freshman class each year, so please follow the necessary steps in a timely fashion so you have the best chance of being accepted.

Below is a listing of the necessary steps for applying to Valley Torah High School.


Class of 2022 Upcoming Events

Open House Wednesday November 1st, 2017 (7:00pm)

Our Open House is an opportunity to hear about the school, meet the administrations, interact with model lessons from our teachers, ask questions and get everything you need to apply to Valley Torah.

Entrance Exam Sunday November 12th, 2017 & Sunday December 10th, 2017

The entrance exam is one piece of the application process as we strive to take a holistic approach to knowing our applicants.

Mini Experience November 14th & December 26, 2017

Valley Torah’s mini-experience gives every candidate a chance to visit the school and see our staff & students in action. They will participate in classes and be able to ask any questions about Valley Torah.

Interviews Sunday, December 10th, 2017 & Sunday January 7th, 2018

The interview is an opportunity to meet each applicant. It is a chance for the administration to get to know the applicant better as well as answer any questions the applicant or their parent(s) have.

 


Registration 2018-2019

The Registration process for 2018-2019 will be fully online. You can login to the system at http://vths.myschoolapp.com/. Your payment plan will be set up using Smart Tuition from within this system.

You must submit Immunization Records (Please have your physician fax them to 818 505-7997)

If you intend on requesting scholarship assistance, you must also follow the instructions below.

Tuition Schedule

The tuition for 2017-2018 is below. 2018-2019 tuition will be similar, but is subject to change.

  • Registration $1,000
  • Early discounted registration $750
  • Security fee $600
  • Banquet fee $750
  • 12th grade Graduation fee $300
  • Tuition $26,000

Scholarships

SmartAid will be processing and conducting a financial needs analysis for all scholarship applications for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year. Families applying for financial aid will need to complete an application and submit the necessary supporting documentation to SmartAid. VTHS’s school ID is 13572.

If you require financial assistance you must apply online at the SmartAid.

Smart Aid will let you know what documents are needed to verify income and expense information.

Carpool service

We offer a van carpool service from both Pico/Robertson area and La Brea area at a cost of $3,000 annually (this can be divided along with your tuition payments).
